Terms

Last updated 28 October 2026.

These terms cover the KINDr website, its public demo and the KINDr browser extension. By using any of them you agree to these terms. How we handle what you send is on the privacy page.

Who runs KINDr

KINDr is made by Crosstalk Studios (Brodie Goodall, sole trader), ABN 25 274 596 671, Canberra, Australia (“we”, “us”).

What KINDr is

KINDr is a free early release (an alpha). It reads a message you give it and suggests how it might land, offers kinder ways to say it, and helps you think about messages you've received. The suggestions are written by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) and checked by our own rules before you see them.

They are suggestions, not advice. They can be wrong, miss context, or read tone differently from the person you're writing to. You decide what to send. KINDr isn't legal, medical, mental-health or professional advice; if you're in a situation where someone may be at risk, please contact the right service directly.

Who it's for

KINDr is for people aged 16 and over. It isn't designed for children, and we don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16; if you think a child has used it, email us and we'll delete their session.

Using it fairly

So that KINDr stays available and affordable for everyone:

  • There are limits on how often you can use it, per minute and per day, and an overall daily limit. When a limit is reached KINDr will say so; try again later.
  • Don't use KINDr to harass, threaten or deceive anyone, or for anything unlawful.
  • Don't try to get around the limits, overload or attack the service, or use it to build or run something else.
  • Only send text you're entitled to share. If a message includes other people's personal details, think about whether you need to include them.

We may block or limit access that breaks these terms.

Your messages

What you write stays yours. You let us process it only to give you KINDr's reflections, as the privacy page describes. Suggestions KINDr gives you are yours to use as you like.

Changes and availability

Because KINDr is an alpha, features may change, pause or stop, and it may sometimes be unavailable. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed, and using KINDr after a change means you accept the new version.

Liability

KINDr is provided “as is” and “as available”, to the extent the law allows. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of KINDr, and our total liability for any claim is limited to AUD $100.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. You and we agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Australian Capital Territory and the Commonwealth of Australia.
